Literacy Tutor and Program Volunteer

WITH UNITED FOR LITERACY

Summary

United for Literacy recruits volunteers to support literacy learning for children, youth, and adults, including tutoring in reading, writing, and math, plus support for community learning activities and special events. Volunteers can get involved in programs that run online and in person, with flexibility depending on region and program needs. In Atlantic Canada, United for Literacy delivers learning programs across 25+ communities in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, working alongside local partners like schools, libraries, community centres, and immigrant-serving agencies. Volunteers are trained and supported, and no teaching experience is required.
